Dua Lipa is an English singer/songwriter who was born in London United Kingdom on August 22nd 1995. Dua Lipa signed to Warner Bros Records after a couple of years of work and released a self-titled first album in the year 2017. The album climbed up to the third place on the U.K. Chart for Albums. There were eight songs released and included Be The Only I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules (UK number one). The album also climbed to number 6 on the charts in the United States. Lipa was awarded the Brit Award in 2018 as British Female Soloist as well as British Breakthrough Artist. Her album is certified platinum in many countries. Dua lipa was born the 22nd of August, 1995, in London to Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. Her maternal grandmother is the reason she is of Bosnian origin. Additionally, her ancestors are from the Kosovo town of Peja. Her grandfathers were both historians. Her brother is Gjin Lipa and a sister Rina. Lipa's musical influences came from her father who was the guitarist and singer of Kosovan Rock band Oda. At home with her parents, her father would perform his original compositions along with songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa began singing at the age of five.
