Simone Biles
Simone Biles is an American gymnast. Born March 14, 1997 in Columbus Ohio U.S.A. Biles was the very first female gymnast from America in history to have won four gold medals during the same Games. At Rio de Janeiro, she also became the first woman to ever win successive World All-Around championships. Biles lived in Spring Texas in the Houston metropolitan area following the time her and her sister Adria had been adopted by grandparents Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles. Simone was first introduced to the sport of gymnastics through her daycare instructor Aimee Borman when she was six years old. She stayed at Bannon's Gymnastix for eleven years. Biles took home a medal for vaulting, as well as a gold medal on the floor at the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. In 2011, she began competing in elite levels of gymnastics competition. A year later Biles had a dominating performance in the sport. What set Biles apart was the consistency of her fun-loving personality, and the high degree of difficulty she incorporated into her routines in every event - vault, uneven bars balance beam and floor exercises.
