Born in Rochester, New York, Sharp was a music enthusiast and was a clarinet player, piano, and cello at the world-class Hochstein School of Music. Sharp's love for theater at the age of 14 brought her to Boston Conservatory where she was given an award. Cum Laude graduated with a B.F.A. Sharp's initial focus was on the stage. Sharp performed on her first Broadway National Tour of Carousel, debuted Off-Broadway with Michael Bradford's Living in the Wind and performed in eight roles in the comedy that is interactive Eat the Runt. Sharp was Abyssinia and Aida on stage, and also. In addition to her work in stage and screen, Sharp has several other unique projects she has written or co-written. Sharp performs and is currently working on an album of full length. When she isn't working in either front of or behind the camera or in the studio recording the music of her choice, Sharp has a love of fitness. She is always shape boxing and studying Krav Maga.. She also enjoys playing piano, hiking and long road trips. Sharp has a family home located in Los Angeles.
