
Sadoski began his award-winning stage career as an understudy for Mark Ruffalo and Mark Rosenthal in the Off Broadway production of Kenneth Lonergan's critically-acclaimed play This is Our Youth at the Second Stage Theatre. This was his first of many productions for the company that is based in New York. He has appeared in a variety of Off-broadway and Broadway productions. He has also been in numerous regional theatre productions. Together with Alison Pill, he played the role Greg in Neil LaBute's The play Reasons to be Pretty at MCC Theatre. After a critically lauded sell-out Off-Broadway performance It was moved to Broadway in April 2009 , where it earned three Tony Award nominations (Best Actor: Sadoski, Best Actress: Marin Ireland, Best Play) along with three Drama Desk Award nominations (Best Actor: Sadoski, Best Director: Terry Kinney and Best Play), two Outer Critics Circle Award nominations (Best actor: Sadoski, Best New Play),and three Drama League Award nominations (Best Play, Distinguished Performance Awards: Sadoski and Ireland). 6. Neil LaBute credited Sadoski with the shift in tone of Reasons to be Pretty, a departure from earlier plays. He stated: "His thoughtfulness and good heart made it impossible to be able to revert back to anything I've previously performed." My plays typically end in a dark way. He was able to help me see other colors in the color palette. I believed that to be also true in real life. He played the character in Trip Wyeth, Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities. For this role, he received an Obie Award as well as an Lucille Lortel Award. After a sell-out Off-Broadway run in November 2011 the play was moved to Broadway and was recognized as an the distinction of Outstanding New Off-Broadway performance by the Outer Critics Circle. Sadoski was also seen on Broadway with Ben Stiller and Edie Falco.
